Batsheva is an idea. Super charged with nostalgia, but angled to express the tension between our adult expectations and the idealized freedom we project onto our children. Dresses and blouses—match-y things for mother and daughter both equally romantic and unhinged. Who is in charge ultimately? The parent, the child, neither—does that question even matter anyways? The brand taps into something just on the edge of memory and reconnects us with the riotous creativity, conflict and boldness of youth. PROJECT SCOPE
