The work often resembles branding, art direction, or strategy. Those are familiar labels. They are not the point. What matters is the moment before those disciplines are applied — when something exists, but has not yet been over-defined.

We work slowly, deliberately, and with people who are willing to question their own assumptions. Clarity is part of the process, but it is not the opening move.

We are not available for clarity on demand.
Clarity earned too quickly is usually wrong.

BLHG is led by Paul Hanger and operates between Detroit and elsewhere. Engagements are limited and often conversational before they are formal.

If you are looking for execution, efficiency, or immediate answers, there are many excellent options. If you are looking for perspective, authorship, or permission to do something difficult, this may be a fit.
